HSJ AWARD NEWS
We recently attended the HSJ Awards in London.
Sheffield City GP Health Centre along with NHS Sheffield, were successfully shortlisted for an award in the Partnership Working category.
Our entry, entitled Champions for Achieving Better Health in Sheffield (CABS) was a 2009 campaign, designed to get the Asian taxi drivers in Sheffield to think more about their health and well-being.
Chief Executive Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, along with Emelia Spencer and Lindsey Bell attended the awards on 29th November 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Although we were tough contenders, the Partnership Working prize went to NHS Bradford and Airedale Community Health Services, with East Kent Hospitals University NHS FT gaining a commendation.
Other winners on the evening included: Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT for Acute Health Organisation of the Year, NHS Western Cheshire for Primary Care Organisation of the Year and Bexley Care Trust for Acute & Primary Care Innovation.
