Sheffield City GP Health Centre Appoints New Operations Manager

Sheffield's only NHS GP-led health centre, which is open 8.00am-8.00pm 365 days a year, has appointed a new operations manager, Emelia Spencer, with the objective of driving public awareness of the free walk in when you need us NHS service available to any member of the public.

Emelia Spencer said: "Sometimes, when you need to see your doctor, appointments are not always immediately available. The centre on Broad Lane is open to any member of the public, 365 days of the year, even Christmas Day. Our aim is to provide an additional NHS resource, so you can just walk in when you need us."

Sheffield City GP Health Centre is Open 7 days a week, 365 Days a Year from 8am - 8pm. She continued: "Our Broad Lane centre, operated by One Medicare, has been open since April 2009 and has treated thousands of patients, many of whom have referred friends and family to the service.

"Over the next few weeks we will be launching a new patient information website, www.walkinwhenyouneedus.com, to raise further public awareness of our NHS facility, its location and the range of services available."

Dr Daniel Albert, One Medicare's Local Medical Director, said: "The Sheffield City GP Health Centre is a resource dedicated to providing anyone in Sheffield with free NHS healthcare from a doctor or nurse. Any member of the public can simply walk in when they need us for advice and treatment.

"Emelia's role in managing the day-to-day operations and raising public awareness of the Health Centre is vital to the future growth of the service and we wish her every success in her new position."
