Rachel has hands on experience of senior level management across European and Australasian markets and is responsible for devising and delivering company wide strategy. Rachel set up One Medical in 2004 and the company has since developed into a substantial business and become a leading player in the provision of healthcare facilities. Rachel is service driven with specific knowledge of the primary care sector.
Michael spent the first 28 years of his business career with Arthur Andersen and retired in 2001. He was latterly UK regional and senior managing partner responsible for 3,500 people, 11 offices and a turnover of £350m.
From 2001 to 2009 Michael focused on developing a range of businesses centred on healthcare and property. Principally One Medical, One Medicare , Telemedcare (vital signs software), United Health Group (developer of care homes and care villages), Creative Care and Therapy (child care and therapy centres) and Yorkshire Ventures which is involved in residential development.
At the end of 2009 Michael reorganised his business interests to focus all his business efforts on One Medical and One Medicare.
Phillip works closely with the PCTs to ensure a strong working relationship and offers strong medical and strategic leadership. Dr Earnshaw is a partner at Ferrybridge Medical Centre as well as a PEC Chair for Wakefield PCT. Phillip is also a founder and past chair of Wakefield GP's on call and set up the first wave national pilot Walk in Centre.
Patrick works closely with the doctors to ensure each surgery offers its full potential of services. Dr Wynn is a partner at Ferrybridge Medical Centre, and is heavily involved in the training and assessing of medical staff and is a registered GP registrar trainer, Nurse Practitioner trainer and Medical Student trainer.
Alan provides implementation and operational guidance for our surgeries. He also develops strong strategic partnership to offer additional services to GPs & PCTs. Alan was the general manager at Ferrybridge Medical Centre and had been successfully running the centre for 15 years. Alan has over 25 years in general management roles including eight years at The Coca Cola Company and 14 years specifically in GP surgeries.
Nicola joined the company in July 2009. She has almost twenty years of experience as a chartered accountant. Since 1997 her experience has been gained in the media industry, most recently at RDF Media Group where she was Group Financial Controller and Finance Director of RDF Rights. Prior to that she spent four years working for KPMG in Asia.
Nicola has overall responsibility for the financial management of One Medical / One Medicare.
Daniel is responsible for the clinical process in the Sheffield and Derby GP-led health centres and also works as a GP at the Sheffield centre. Daniel worked in medical physics before re-training and qualifying as a doctor in 1989. Prior to joining One Medicare he was a partner in the Whitfield Practice in Leeds for 12 years and a PEC Chair of South Leeds PCT, involved in the planning of urgent care services in West Yorkshire. He is currently studying for a certificate in urgent care at Brunel University.
As Local Medical Director for North East Lincolnshire, Paul is responsible for the clinical quality at the centre and the development of services. Prior to taking on this role he was a full time GP Principal for 20 years and has been heavily involved in GP training. Paul is a Deanery Quality Assurance Tutor and RCGP fellow and also works as a GPSI in dermatology and is a cosmetic physician.
Dr Mattam has been working for One Medicare since she qualified as a GP in September 2007. She became a lead GP in April 2010 with responsibility for developing clinical protocols and supporting and guiding clinical staff. Dr Mattam is the Practice Lead for Practice Based Commissioning and has qualifications in family planning and women's health.
Sarah is responsible for the marketing of the company within the industry and liaising with our PR consultants on all aspects of public relations and advertising. Sarah joined us from a large plc where she worked in Leeds and London. She had previously worked in advertising and commercial photography having run her own business for several years. Her roles have included profile building new brands, presentations, proposal negotiations, event organisation and building networking opportunities.
Lindsey is responsible for developing new business projects for the company. Lindsey has a vast and varied experience in business and project management some of her successes include securing an additional two years of government funding for the West Yorkshire Knowledge Exchange project and creating and launching the Design Champion 2006 competition at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Sandy is responsible for all aspects of HR including maintaining HR policies, procedures, contracts of employment, recruitment, and performance management.
She joined us in February 2010, with 10 years experience in HR management and advice.
Sandy is a graduate member of the CIPD.
As well as co-ordinating, leading and developing the nursing team and services at both One Medicare @ The Light and One Medicare @ Hilton Road, Sue continues to carry out her role as a Nurse Practitioner with a background in Elderly Care and Practice Nursing.
She is involved in assisting in the development of new services at the surgery and is also a mentor and part-time lecturer at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Emelia is responsible for the running of the Sheffield City GP Health Centre. Emelia joined One Medicare in April 2009 as a Practice Nurse and soon after became interested and involved in the management of the centre and was promoted to Operations Manager. Previously to joining One Medicare she worked as a specialist Nurse for Nutricia, managing a large caseload in Derbyshire. Emelia also has a BA (hons) Specialist Community Public Health Practitioner and has 5 years working in the primary care sector.
Jenni Brailsford gained invaluable experience in the Customer Service field before moving into Healthcare in 2008, Jenni joined One Medicare as Head Receptionist when the Derby Open Access Centre opened in December 2008, one of the first GP-led health centres in the country, and was quickly promoted to Centre Manager. Under the direction of Jenni, the centre is achieving all its targets set out by NHS Derby.
Adam supports the company IT systems and is responsible for data processing and reporting to support decision making and improve efficiencies. He works in conjunction with all areas of the business to ensure the timely provision of accurate, relevant and current information. Adam previously worked in the purchasing department for a telecoms company. His background is in IT support and he has a degree in Business Studies.
Hayley joined the company in 2009. She has five years experience in PR and events management and has previously worked with One Medicare on a consultancy basis.
As part of the marketing team she will assist in the organisation of events, copy writing for marketing literature and dealing with media enquiries.
Stephanie joined the team to support the marketing and sales function. Having gained a degree in English from the University of Liverpool and previously worked for the Daily Express in London, she brings with her exceptional writing skills and press experience.
Working with the Sales and Marketing team, her work includes copy writing, proof-reading, research and supplying administrative support.
Catherine has a degree in accounting and over 10 years accounts office experience. Most recently she was the accounts manager for a recruitment firm, overseeing all aspects of the financial function.
Catherine is responsible for the accounts and payroll of One Medicare.
